We want to transport you to Punjab! Our traditions mean the world to us, and we’re dedicating the entire evening creating the most intimate moments with you all. Come ready to eat and dance like you’ve never danced before :)
Bright, Upscale Indian Wear
Wear your brightest colors and be ready to immerse yourself to celebrate us and our culture!
Text Hargun directly if you need help understanding the differences across all the dress options; we understand it can be overwhelming if this is your first Punjabi wedding :)
Our Wedding Day
We cannot wait to see you all at the Gurudwara we both grew up in! The Sikh wedding ceremony is called Anand Karaj. It translates to “blissful event” and symbolizes the spiritual and emotional bond of two souls and their union with God. The ceremony involves the bride and groom taking four rounds around the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Subtle, Conservative Indian Wear
At the gurdwara, we have to be mindful to remain conservative with our fits and keep our heads covered, so wear an outfit that won’t constrict these requirements. Finally, we’ll have to take our shoes off inside, so wear your best socks! :)
(Men have the choice to come in suits. We will also have head coverings for all who need.)
